The Piper-Heidsieck Marilyn Monroe Edition is a highly collectible, limited-release of the house’s classic Cuvée Brut. It pays homage to Marilyn Monroe, who famously stated she started her morning with a glass of Piper-Heidsieck.

Marilyn Monroe famously declared, "I go to bed with a drop of Chanel No. 5, and I wake up with a glass of Piper-Heidsieck."

Inside the bottle is the standard, critically acclaimed Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut. It is a vibrant, well-structured blend of Pinot Noir (50-55%), Meunier (30-35%), and Chardonnay (15-20%) that spends around two years on its lees. One more gram of dosage than the regular Cuvee. It's a wonderful tribute to an American icon.

Elegant notes of fresh pear, white peach, and citrus, rounded out by subtle toasty brioche and fresh almonds. Crisp and fresh with a harmonious balance of fruit and toasty complexity. Clean, refined, and refreshing.

Piper-Heidsieck is a prestigious Champagne house based in Reims, France, founded way back in 1785. It’s known for producing full-flavored, bold yet elegant Champagnes using the traditional Méthode Champenoise. It is one of the most awarded Champagne houses in the world, with international recognition for both quality and consistency.

The house was founded by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, a draper from Westphalia who settled in Reims with the dream of creating a cuvée “worthy of a queen.” Piper-Heidsieck is known for a Pinot Noir-driven style, giving its Champagnes structure, fruit intensity, and body — often with Pinot Noir as the dominant grape, supported by Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.

Piper-Heidsieck carefully selects fruit from more than 100 of Champagne's crus to blend the Cuvee 1785. This adds great complexity and dimension to the wine and allowed the bold Piper-Heidsieck style to shine through. A majority blend of Pinot Noir provides structure to the composition while Pinot Meunier expands the wine with its brilliant fruit expression and fleshiness, and Chardonnay brings elegant tones and acidity. The precious reserve wines create a consistent flavor profile year after year. Sustainability is important: Piper-Heidsieck holds certifications for Viticulture Durable en Champagne and Haute Valeur Environnementale, reflecting environmentally friendly vineyard practices.

Unless your delivery address is on the West Coast, we strongly discourage you from selecting “Ground Service” as your shipping method. During the winter and summer months, weather conditions (temperature) and longer delivery times can often result in the spoilage of your order. It doesn’t make sense to invest in fine wines and then take the chance of ruining them due environmental factors during transit (faster and safer delivery generally isn’t much more expensive). We don’t make an additional profit on accelerated delivery, but we frequently recommend faster shipping options to our customers outside the West Coast.
You must be 21 years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverages. Any shipments containing alcoholic beverages are sent with an “Adult Signature Required” sticker, and the common carrier that delivers our merchandise is required to ask and check for identification upon delivery. This means that an adult will have to be present at the time of delivery. Please consider shipping to an office address.
During periods of extreme weather, we attempt to ship wines at the beginning of each week in order to get shipments to you before the weekend. This is because we have no control over the temperature conditions at our freight carriers’ warehouses. The result may be that your shipment doesn’t go out the day that you place an order.
We ship by Fedex or Fedex Ground. Our prices include packaging materials. Insurance may be available for an additional charge.
Vintage Wine Merchants, Inc. will arrange for shipment on behalf of the buyer, to an address specified by the buyer, provided that Vintage Wine Merchants, Inc. in its sole judgment believes that such shipment will not subject Vintage Wine Merchants, Inc. to the risk of any sort of legal action or other harm.
