96 Tim Atkin - A beautiful Bonnes Mares, this is très floral with gorgeous wafts of summer flowers. The palate piles on sweet cherries, chimney smoke and brown spices. Tight, long tannins and racy acidity nicely frame the super-charged fruit generosity on the palate. The finish takes its time, stringing along dark fruits and crushed stone minerality. More than half of the vines sit in white soils with the rest on red soils, all averaging between 40 and 50 years in age.

94-96 Wine Advocate - One of the high points in this challenging vintage, Dujac’s 2024 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is excellent, unfurling from the glass with a deep bouquet of peony, cherry and wild raspberry mingled with raw cacao, Sichuan pepper and smoke. Full-bodied, ample and layered, it is fleshy and enveloping, its satiny attack leading into a concentrated, seamless mid-palate enlivened by vibrant acidity, before concluding with a floral, persistent finish. It is a close call with Clos Saint-Denis this year, and I would be happy to own either.

93-95 Vinous - The 2024 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru, which Jeremy Seysses informed is now close to 50/50 terre rouge and terre blanc, has a more sensual bouquet than either the Clos de la Roche or Clos Saint-Denis: verging on plush red berry fruit, touches of blue fruit and violet. The palate is very pure with silky tannins, a pleasing rondeur, all curves 'n no edges. Lightly spiced, gentle in terms of grip, this delivers the sweetness and opulence (albeit on a smaller scale) that you seek from a Bonnes-Mares.

Unless your delivery address is on the West Coast, we strongly discourage you from selecting “Ground Service” as your shipping method. During the winter and summer months, weather conditions (temperature) and longer delivery times can often result in the spoilage of your order. It doesn’t make sense to invest in fine wines and then take the chance of ruining them due environmental factors during transit (faster and safer delivery generally isn’t much more expensive). We don’t make an additional profit on accelerated delivery, but we frequently recommend faster shipping options to our customers outside the West Coast.
You must be 21 years of age to order or receive alcoholic beverages. Any shipments containing alcoholic beverages are sent with an “Adult Signature Required” sticker, and the common carrier that delivers our merchandise is required to ask and check for identification upon delivery. This means that an adult will have to be present at the time of delivery. Please consider shipping to an office address.
During periods of extreme weather, we attempt to ship wines at the beginning of each week in order to get shipments to you before the weekend. This is because we have no control over the temperature conditions at our freight carriers’ warehouses. The result may be that your shipment doesn’t go out the day that you place an order.
We ship by Fedex or Fedex Ground. Our prices include packaging materials. Insurance may be available for an additional charge.
