A California sparking wine made from a renown Champagne House. You may have come across Champagne Pommery, established in 1836 by Alexandre Louis Pommery. A few years later after his death in 1858, his wife Madame Louise Pommery took over and created a wine empire. At the time Champagne was a sweet drink, but Madame Louise Pommery understood that Champagne could be made to be more than an after-dinner drink. She then invited “Brut” Champagne.
When Pommery decided to make sparkling wine in California in 2015, the name Louis Pommery was to honor Alexandre. This sparkling wine holds the best of both worlds. Exceptional winemaking expertise guaranteed by Clément Pierlot, current chef de caves of Champagne Pommery. Made from 95% Chardonnay and simply 5% Pinot Noir. The color is a beautiful straw yellow color with a wonderful effervescence. You can expect tastes of green apples with harmonizing acidity and minerality, before leading to a delicate essence of lemon mousse with a buttery vitality and finishing with aromas of peaches and apricots.
