The property originally had some Zinfandel, but Prohibition changed the economics of Napa agriculture, and the family moved into \u003cstrong data-start=\"2212\" data-end=\"2257\"\u003eprunes, walnuts, vegetables and livestock\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEventually the orchards became vineyards.
