He created Edetària to honor his grandfather (an enologist) and parents (viticulturists).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEdetària controls its entire process by exclusively producing wines from its own 60 to 70 hectares of estate vineyards. A significant portion of their vines are over 50 to 60 years old, which naturally keeps grape yields low and flavors highly concentrated. Their vineyards span five distinct soil types, most notably Panal (fossilized sand dunes), alongside clay, limestone, and pebbles from ancient riverbeds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2023 Bodegas Edetaria Via Terra Garnatxa Negra stands out for its juicy red fruit, notes of cherry and plum, and a subtle spicy touch. A bouquet dominated by savory red berries, ripe cherry, plum, and redcurrants. It is layered with subtle accents of smoke, spices, sawdust, and a hint of walnuts. Highly approachable, open, and generous in the mouth.
