92-94 Burghound - This is aromatically similar to the Baudes except it’s spicier still. The plump and rounded medium-bodied flavors also possess excellent volume, concentrated and focused power that culminate in a more mineral-driven, moderately austere and impressively lengthy finale. This is a big Fuées as it’s rare for it to be even more structured than the Baudes. Patience strongly advised.
One of the 24 Premier Cru vineyards of the commune of Chambolle-Musigny, Les Fuées has chalky soil over hard bedrock and an eastern exposure. This Pinot Noir wine is fermented in vats for up to 4 weeks, and then aged for 18 to 20 months in oak barrels before bottling.
