Handley Cellars is a small but mighty family-owned winery in Mendocino County. The Handley Estate Vineyard in Anderson Valley is located just 10 miles away from the Pacific coast. Founded by winemaker Milla Handley in 1982, Milla’s intent was to produce wines that show the characteristics of the soil and climate. This is evident by Hadley Vineyards completing the CCOF Organic certification process for grape growing. They’ve gone above and beyond by taking steps to support environmental conservation, which include running the winery on 75 percent solar-powered electricity, installing an EV charging station on site, and using non-toxic products in all possible aspects of running the winery.
The 2018 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley is a delicious blend from 5 different Handley vineyards. Aromas of warm cherry pie, cola, violets, and a hint of clove on the finish. Round and full on the palate with flavors of red cherries, ripe plum, and notes of cardamom with soft tannins and vibrant acidity to focus the long finish. Aged for 10 months in all French Oak barrels
