Jo Pithon’s domaine and négociant business was bought by Parisian businessman Ivan Massonnat in June 2018. It now forms part of Massonnat’s 26ha Domaine Belargus with holdings in Anjou including Pithon’s famous Clos des Treilles, Quarts de Chaume and Savennières. Pithon-Paillé will continue as the négociant side of the business. Mozaïk is sourced from a number of different parcels, some planted on schist and some on limestone. The grapes are handpicked with a yield of 30hl/ha. The wine has ripe, opulent aromas with notes of exotic fruits, a mouthfilling texture and a fine freshness on the long finish.
