2014 831 Pinot Noir – Monterey, CA – $18.98 :: Buy Now

Ripe in style, with bold flavors of berries, cherry, black plum and cranberry with aromas of rose bush, clove and nutmeg. Mild tannins and acidity.

2015 Luli Chardonnay – Santa Lucia Highlands, CA – $19.98 :: Buy Now

The Luli Chardonnay was fermented in 50% stainless steel, and 50% neutral oak barrels. The stainless steel keeps the aromatics pure and the acid crisp, while the neutral barrels give the mineral notes and a greater texture component. Malo-lactic fermentation was prevented to preserve the bright aromatics. Bright gold in color, the wine exhibits vibrant aromatics of orange blossoms, lemon oil, and white flowers with an underlying sense of minerality. On that palate the wine has a full mouth-feel, but is kept very focused and crisp by the acidity.

2017 Domaine du Salvard Cheverny, Sauvignon Blanc/Chardonnay – Loire Valley, France –  $17.98 :: Buy Now

Comes from the Cherverny AOC (in Touraine, and just down the river from Sancerre). It’s a blend of Sauvignon Blanc (85%) and Chardonnay (15%), which was aged on its lees. In the mouth, it shows off lots of Sancerre-esque crispness and zippy mineral flavors, but with a bit of a softer feel to it. The flavors continue to develop, with tangy apples and more grass following the minerals. And the finish is amazing – very long and dry. In short, it’s really good, and a great value.
